What can one can do?

The Wonders of Spray Paint-

The question is, what can one can do?

I decided I’d share what one can of spray paint can cover, literally! 🙂

Most changes that happened in the master bedroom make-over were big changes, such as the new hardwood floor, wall color, furniture color, drop cloth curtains and bed crown-

The decorative touches that were added were never mentioned, but they have a story too…

Everything got a coat of white spray paint- The first transformations were these horse bookends!

They were found at a yard sale after I had pictured wanting interesting horse accents for my bedroom make-over! God is so good!

They were originally bronze colored which was nice and rich, but I knew that white accents were the look that I wanted!

They work well on the benches at the end of my bed, holding a few of my favorite books!

The next transformation took place on the topiaries that flank my dresser- They were a yard sale find also. The pots were originally an ugly gold, and I had to take a double look to see the potential. I’m glad I did. I really like them after all!

I transformed a metal gourd white and used it throughout the Fall season-

…and turned a pumpkin white!

I changed two frames by spray painting them white also. This change was subtle, as they only went from cream to white, but that small change made a big difference in their appearance!

So, let’s review- With one can of spray paint, we got…

2 bookends

2 topiary pots

2 frames

1 gourd

1 pumpkin

One can of spray paint took care of changing the appearance of eight items- not too shabby!

It’s especially cool to find things from yard sales and thrift shops that have great shape and form! Then, with a coat of paint they’re transformed into exactly what you’re looking for!

*In light of all that can be transformed with one can of paint,

it’s worth getting the best quality spray paint possible!

Although these transformations are great, there’s a transformation far more wonderful…

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18

That’s it- happy transforming…

Always, heidi xoxox

At about $4 per can for the good spray paint you can’t go wrong. Just make sure you are careful where you paint as the spray can get all over everything nearby! 🙂

Thanks so much- I’ve found that the Lord is pleased to bless us
with even the smallest things- He delights in the details and is
especially pleased when we give Him thanks with the little things! 🙂

That’s a lot of items! I’ve never really kept up with what one can will do. You’ve done quite a lot of painting projects. 🙂
