Yard Sale Treasures

Last Saturday was so much fun~

We finally made it to the neighborhood yard sale that we’ve been waiting for, and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful Fall day!

I hunted and hunted until I found some wonderful treasures! (well at least they have potential to be treasures)

~ Here are four of my finds…

I have a general idea for each of them, but I thought it would be fun to hear from you!

Can you guess what I’m planning to do?

Can you imagine what they’ll look like after they’ve been cleaned and prepped, painted and polished?

Thinking about these yard sale finds and other things that I pick up to transform, made me think about the fact that…

That’s how God looks at us, even in the imperfect state that we’re all in!

1 Samuel 16:7

“For the Lord does not see as man sees, for man looks at outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

He looks at our heart and knows how we can most fully partner with Him in His Kingdom work…He sees way beyond what we or anyone else can see in us. We can go to the people in our lives for a degree of encouragement, but truly only God knows the potential inside of each one of us!

Let’s look at each piece one more time and just imagine…

Can you see it?

Can you imagine it’s purpose?

Can you see the potential?

Can you find the beauty?

Imagining things transformed is a practice we could take to our personal relationships~ Seeing the potential beauty in each other and then being there to help bring it out!

I love this idea~ write and tell me what You think about it and if you have any ideas about how these finds can be transformed…
